After a lot of thought (and miles on the road), I’ve decided it’s time for a change—one that better reflects who I am and what I love to share with you. I’m excited to announce that Debbi Marquette Photography is officially becoming Back Roads Lens!
You’ll start seeing this new name on my website, Instagram, Facebook, and everywhere else I share content. But this is more than just a name change—it’s a new chapter that better represents what this space has become.
Why the Change?
When I first started, my focus was photography—capturing beautiful moments and sharing them with others. That passion hasn’t gone anywhere. But over time, this platform has grown into so much more. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about the stories behind them.
My husband and I are both retired now, and one of our greatest joys is traveling together. But we don’t take the typical tourist routes. We prefer the scenic way—the quiet, winding roads that lead to small towns, forgotten landmarks, quirky roadside stops, and hidden gems that most people pass by. We love the back roads.
Along the way, I’ve been documenting our travels, sharing not only the pictures but also the experiences, the history, the surprises, and the practical tips that come with exploring off the beaten path. I write about where we go, what we see, and how others can enjoy these spots too. And I continue to share photography ideas and camera tips, especially for those who want to travel and document their own adventures.
